When submitting manuscripts it is helpful to include:
A word count for the completed manuscript, or an estimate for those in progress
If your manuscript is not yet complete, mention when you anticipate it will be completed
Information about yourself and your writing career
Mention research and experience that you have drawn upon in writing your manuscript
The presentation of your manuscript is very important. We request manuscripts to be in Microsoft Word format on A4 pages, double spaced. Authors who have evidently invested considerable time into their work create a better impression than those that have not. It is important to:
Spend considerable time on your synopsis as this is the main focus of the editors during initial evaluation
Proof your manuscript before sending it, make use of computer software and ask friends to read through your manuscript to check for errors
