This is up there with all the greats- Dostoevsky, Turgenev, Miller, Tennessee Williams, Fowles, Gunter Grass, Le Carre, Dick Francis.
The story simply roars along like a TGV, gathering electric speed at every chapter. Holder has combined not only to give us a wonderful imaginative read, but has managed to make this story so pertinent, political and intriguing. Could it be that Swine 'Flu is not the product of Mother Nature but a wicked accident of Man?
From the minute you open it for the first time, Holder manages to captivate you and you realise within the first few pages- that this is actually happening somewhere in a remote part of the country and that the enveloping story is oh so frighteningly plausible.
I congratulate Mr Holder for crafting such a wonderful first book. I can't wait for the sequel.
ROTS is a great read. Should be made into a feature film.
