An Author’s initial submission should consist of a synopsis and 3 sample chapters together with a covering letter. We prefer to receive these as hard copy in Microsoft Word format. It is useful to include the working title and total word count within your submission.
Synopsis
We require a descriptive summary of the whole book, between 400-500 words in length.
Sample Chapters
Examples of the quality of your work extracted from your manuscript. We require 3 chapters for consideration. These chapters do not need to be in sequence and can be taken from anywhere within your manuscript provided they illustrate your work.
Should your work not be divided into chapters, please select three appropriate sections to submit. When submitting poetry, we require between 6-10 poems for our initial consideration.
Covering Letter
In your introductory letter you should include an appropriate contact address, and how you wish to be contacted, ie by email or post. You may also include past achievements and publications, and any other information you think relevant to your work. This can influence future publishing decisions to be made.
Once your work has been received, you will receive a letter of acknowledgement. Your work will then be evaluated by our team of editors. We may at a later date request to view your full manuscript.
Should you wish your work to be returned to you at any stage, we request that you enclose sufficient postage with your original submission.
Please note that we spend a considerable time evaluating the numerous manuscripts that we receive. We thank you in advance for your patience.
